Newborn or on the move, babies love books. Disney’s Wonderful World of Reading, has a world of books perfect for reading to your little one. Find out more and you could get 8 story books and a book rack all for £7.50. See below for more details.

It’s never too early to get your baby into books. They'll love hearing you read and have fun looking and babbling at the pictures on the pages. What’s more, experts agree that even the youngest babies get a head start by having stories read to them. Being read to helps children learn to talk, read and write, focusing on pictures helps develop a baby’s eye muscles, and turning pages helps their fine motor skills.

Books make great entertainment for babies and give you the chance to spend some quality time together. The tiniest babies will enjoy hearing the sound of your voice as you read to them. Babies love repetition and learn from hearing the same stories and rhymes repeated. Choose simple picture books with bold colours to grab young babies’ attention.

You could start by reading to your baby when you settle them down for bedtime, but any time that suits you both is fine. Make it part of your daily routine, something that you can both look forward to. Babies don’t have much of an attention span, so you may start with just a couple of minutes reading each day. But before you know it, they’ll be on their way to a lifetime of loving books!
