Ashlee Simpson 'trying everything' to hurry labour

American singer and expectant mum Ashlee Simpson is reportedly trying everything to hurry on her pregnancy, big sister Jessica has revealed.

The 24-year-old pop star is due to give birth to her first child with husband, rocker Pete Wentz any day now and is desperate to get the ball rolling, reports suggest.

In a recent interview with US talk show host Ellen Degeneres, aunty-to-be Jessica, 28, said that Ashlee was trying "different foot massages" to speed up the final stages of her pregnancy.

"I think she's really just jumping around trying everything right now. They're going to have to (induce). It's already developing really quick."

Ashlee announced the pregnancy in May, the same month she and new hubbie Pete tied the knot in a small family wedding.

Recent reports speculated that the young mum-to-be had already given birth to the new arrival, rumours which were later denied.
