Catherine Tate 'keen for more children'

04 Aug 2008

Catherine Tate
Comedian and actress Catherine Tate has revealed hopes for another baby, despite suffering from postnatal depression after the birth of her first child.

The 40-year-old's daughter with partner Twig Clark, Erin, was delivered by caesarean in 2003 when Catherine developed the condition.

Now magazine reports that when asked about the influence her experience would have on the prospect of her having more children, the Doctor Who star said: "I hope it won't stop me [having another child], but it does worry me. Also, I want one because I wouldn't like Erin to be an only child."

The Bafta Award nominee has recently received rave reviews for her stage performance as a promiscuous teacher in David Eldridge's theatre production Under the Blue Sky.

Tate shot to fame with her co-authored BBC 2 comedy series The Catherine Tate Show in 2004, which has since been nominated for an International Emmy Award and four Bafta Awards.
