Eva Longoria 'sparks pregnancy rumours'

Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria Parker has revealed that she and husband NBA star Tony Parker have started trying for a baby, reports claim.

The 32-year-old American actress, who is currently in the UK promoting her latest movie Over Her Dead Body, told the Sunday Mirror that now is a good time to get pregnant as filming for her hit US show is on hold due to the writers' strike.

"I get to spend more time with my husband. I want a whole basketball team," she said.

Eva recently added fuel to the flames of pregnancy rumours when she was spotted buying designer baby clothes from Dolce & Gabbana.

However, the media speculation was dampened by the star's rep who confirmed that Eva was buying the clothes as a gift for pregnant friend Jennifer Lopez.

The petite brunette recently received the People's Choice Award for Best TV actress for her stand-out performance as Desperate Housewife Gabrielle Solis.

Last year, Eva was named the face of Bebe Sport, in addition to featuring in campaigns for cosmetics giant L'Oreal.
