Gwen Stefani 'pregnant again'

30 Jan 2008

Gwen Stefani
American singer and international fashion icon Gwen Stefani is reportedly pregnant with her second child, according to recent media rumours.

The 38-year-old is already mum to one-year-old Kingston with husband Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, whom she married in 2002.

Douglas Rossdale, Gwen's father-in-law, reportedly told People magazine: "They and the whole family are delighted… We are very much looking forward to another grandchild."

A spokesperson for the star has yet to confirm the news, although reports claim that Gwen is 13 weeks into her second pregnancy.

Commenting on plans to have more children, the singer recently told InStyle magazine: "Obviously I'm in a race to have another, but I don't want to do it while on tour.

"But I can't wait to get pregnant again. It's so fun and consuming and romantic."

The former frontwoman of US rock band No Doubt released her first solo album in 2004, enjoying global success with millions of records sold.

Gwen's rocker husband Gavin is the biological father of 19-year-old British model Daisy Lowe from a former relationship with singer-songwriter Pearl Lowe.

In a speech at the recent Conservative party conference it was proposed that 'all mothers in (NHS) maternity care will have access to a single room'. How do you feel about this idea? (Please select one answer only)
It’s a great idea and would get my vote!
It's a good idea, but not a priority
Sharing a postnatal ward is safer if anything were to happen to you or your baby
Money should be spent on more midwives instead
It's unrealistic and would be a waste of money
