Gwen gives birth to baby boy

Pop icon and fashion guru Gwen Stefani welcomed her second child yesterday, after a much publicised pregnancy.

The 38-year-old celebrity mum gave birth to another baby boy, weighing in at 8.5 pounds, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA.

Zuma Nesta Rock is Gwen's second child with musician husband Gavin Rossdale, and little brother to two-year-old Kingston, who is the couple's first born.

"Mother, baby and family are all happy and healthy," publicist Dave Tomberlin said in a statement.

According to In Touch magazine, Gwen had checked in to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and was scheduled to give birth via Caesarean section yesterday morning.

The proud parents announced the pregnancy at the start of the year, confirming months of industry rumours.

Two years after the couple's marriage in 2002, Gwen and hubbie Gavin found out that he was the biological father to model Daisy Lowe, from a brief relationship with London socialite Pearl Lowe.
