Halle Berry welcomes baby girl

Hollywood actress Halle Berry has given birth to a daughter, her first child with partner model Gabriel Aubrey, reports reveal.

The 41-year-old Oscar-winning actress welcomed a healthy baby girl on Sunday at LA's Cedars Sinai Medical Centre - the hospital where fellow celebrity mums Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera recently delivered their first babies.

Halle confirmed the news of her pregnancy back in September 2007 in an interview with Access Hollywood.

Commenting on the prospect of being a mum, the star said: "Gabriel and I are beyond excited, and I've waited a long time for this moment in life."

The baby girl is yet to be named, but reports claim that both mother and baby are doing well.

Proud father Gabriel Aubrey, 32, met the former Bond Girl on a shoot for Versace in 2005. In recent interviews, Halle has suggested that she hopes to have another child straight away.
