Life's a beach for expectant mum Minnie

Heavily pregnant mum-to-be Minnie Driver was spotted cooling off in the sea over the weekend, just days before she is due to give birth.

The 38-year-old actress, who is expecting her first child this week, took some last minute time out in Malibu this weekend to recharge her batteries in preparation for the birth of her baby.

Commenting on the pregnancy earlier this year, Minnie said: "I think it's a girl. Most of the women in my family get super girthy early on and I've got to say that's why I have this nice chiffon dress on. I'm fat."

The Circle of Friends star will be counting on the support of her mum, aunt, best friends and yoga teacher when the time comes to welcome the new arrival, reports claim.

Minnie has refrained from confirming the father of her baby, in a bid to "shield" him from the public eye.
