Michelle Williams wants daughter 'to have a routine'

Michelle Williams wants daughter
American actress Michelle Williams has said that predictability and routine are key to her parenting of three-year-old daughter Matilda Rose.

In a recent interview with Newsweek Magazine, the 28-year-old single mum revealed that she is taking time out of her busy acting career to care for her little girl.

"I don't want to work while she's in school," she told the magazine. "I want her to have a routine. I want the plainest, simplest, most ordinary, habituated routine possible. I just want to know what's coming next."

Earlier this year, Michelle was hit by the terrible blow of news that Matilda's dad, actor Heath Ledger passed away by an accidental overdose.

The couple were together for three years before deciding to separate in September 2007.

Now Michelle and their daughter Matilda live on a farm in upstate New York, where she endeavours to raise her child in a 'normal', paparazzi-free environment.
