Minnie: It's great to be a single mum

Minnie: It
Being a single mother can be a great experience, according to Hollywood actress Minnie Driver.

The 38-year-old, who is eight-months pregnant, has refused to reveal the identity of the father of her baby and has spoken out about raising a child independently, reports Bang Media International.

"It's great to be an independent creature," said the Good Will Hunting actress. "Today you don't need a man anymore. In the old days, have a baby without marriage and people would put you out.

"Today you speak about it on talk shows. I'm very into feeling this female thing."

Minnie has also said that it is up to the father whether he wants to speak out about the situation and she does not plan for him to be present at the birth.

"It's something I want to keep private," she has claimed.

Earlier this year, Minnie told Hello! that she has been craving green foods, such as cucumber and sugar snap peas and thinks her child's favourite colour will be green as a result.
