Mother tests out her 'bullet-proof' design

Mother tests out her
An American industrial designer, Stella Stevenson, is said to have opened fire on her 18-month-old son while he was sitting in her newly created bullet-proof buggy, reports have claimed.

In a demonstration to show that her product worked, Ms Stevenson released the video of the experiment online, which shows her pick up her unharmed child after ten seconds of gun fire.

She set up a company called Bullet Proof Baby after her first son almost died in a drive-by shooting three years ago. Other products in the range of 'suburban war zone baby protection' include My First Riot Helmet and a chemical warfare suit for children.

"When stray bullets hit the pram but missed my son, I realised there was a gap in the market for products to protect babies in today's increasingly violent society," she told London newspaper Metro.

The buggy is priced at £300 and claims to be "the ultimate in style, comfort and extreme combat protection". However, according to her website, they have all sold out.
