Paris Hilton 'ready for a baby'

Paris Hilton has revealed that she believes that she is ready to have a baby and wants to have a child soon.

The society heiress has been dating rocker Benji Madden of the band Good Charlotte for several months, the twin brother of friend Nicole Richie's fiance Joel, and the Sun reports that Paris plans to become pregnant within the next year.

According to the 27-year-old, she would make a good mum because she has a lot of "beautiful animals" that she looks after.

Paris, whose pets include a ferret, a kinkajou, more than a dozen dogs and a chinchilla, added, "I feel I would have a lot to give my children".

Her revelation follows the birth of close pal Nicole Richie's baby daughter Harlow to Joel, also a member of Good Charlotte.

Nicole has claimed that Joel is an "amazing" father to their new daughter and has been busy changing nappies, singing to her and playing with her since she was born in January this year.
