Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell talk fertility drugs

10 Nov 2008

Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O
Celebrity couple Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O'Connell have admitted that they tried fertility treatment when first trying to conceive.

The happy parents-to-be revealed to Page Six that they used fertility drugs to begin with in order to increase their chances of getting pregnant, but later decided to stop and try for a baby naturally.

"We tried Clomid for a couple of months unsuccessfully. But, by the second month, I was like, 'Ahhh! I hate this!' I think when you start messing with your own hormones, it's crazy-making," the actress told the US magazine.

Commenting on her dream of being a mother, Ugly Betty star Rebecca said: "I desperately wanted kids. I was never a girl who dreamed about what her wedding day would be like, but I've always dreamed about decorating my baby's nursery."

The 36-year-old model turned actress and her second husband, actor Jerry are expecting twin girls later in the year, after announcing the pregnancy at the end of July.

Rebecca and Jerry married in July 2007 after a two-year engagement. The first-time mum-to-be was previously married to actor John Stamos for six years before the couple separated and later divorced in 2005.
