Salma Hayek's toddler attends Vanity Fair Party

19 Sep 2008

Mexican actress and director Salma Hayek brought her toddler to an exclusive Vanity Fair party in Seville, Spain.

Baby Valentina's grandmother carried her into the party as photographers tried to catch pictures of the family.

Salma, dressed in black and wearing sunshades, followed Valentina, who is one-year-old next week, into the party.

Hayek is currently separated from her billionaire ex-fiance Francois-Henri Pinault after the relationship was said to be unworkable owing to the distance, according to the Daily Mail.

However, the couple were recently reunited at a birthday party thrown for Stevie Wonder's son Kailand Morris.

A witness at the party said that Hayek was by Pinault's side for almost the whole time and were eating together while watching pop band Jonas Brothers.

The guest said: "It was so cute - Francois-Henri was carrying the baby, smiling, and playing with her. He obviously adores Valentina."

Born in 1966 in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico, Hayek is considered to be the first Mexican actress to achieve Hollywood fame and notoriety.

She achieved her breakthrough after being cast in Robert Rodriguez's 1995 film Desperado and quickly became one of Hollywood's most beautiful and successful actresses.

More recently she has been directing projects including The Maldonado Miracle and the TV series Ugly Betty.
