Sara Cox gives birth to a son

BBC Radio 1 presenter and celebrity mum Sara Cox has given birth to a healthy baby boy, reports reveal.

The 33-year-old Manchester born radio DJ and TV personality welcomed son Isaac yesterday (11 March), weighing 7lb 12oz - her first child with current partner Ben Cyzer.

Coxy is already mum to three-year-old daughter Lola from her previous marriage to DJ Jon Carter.

Famous for spearheading the beer-drinking 'ladette' trend of the late 90s, Sara has admitted to turning over a new leaf since she has become a mum, settling into a more family-orientated lifestyle.

"I think all my priorities have changed. I appreciate calmness and feeling secure, being looked after," she said.

"I enjoy my role as mum and caretaker of the house. I really relish those roles and I think I'm good at them."

Sara announced the news of her second pregnancy on her Radio 1 show back in September and completed her last weekend show on 17 February before taking six months' maternity leave.
