Sheryl Crow motivated by motherhood
Despite being diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 44, American singer Sheryl Crow held onto her hopes of one day becoming a mother, she has revealed.

The 46-year-old adopted son Wyatt in May last year, when he was 15 months old.

When asked about the impact her son has had on her life, Sheryl has always been quick to highlight the sense of renewed focus that seems to come with motherhood.

"There was a shift in my life when I got diagnosed, because it demanded I look at everything and redefine my life," she explained.

Sheryl ahs become somewhat of a musical icon, after 15 years in the business and her sixth studio album Detours reached number two on the US Billboard 200 chart, selling around 92,000 copies in its first week.

It appears baby Wyatt is following in her footsteps in terms of drive. She said: "He is very game. He has done everything early. He started walking at 10 months and I think that is due to the fact that he's a very curious kid."
