Toddlers should be taught healthy eating

Toddlers should be taught healthy eating
Children should be educated about healthy food from as young as 12 months, it has been claimed.

Little Helper, a socially responsible children's brand, stated that it was recently invited to the government's Foresight project Tackling Obesities: Future choices meeting at Westminster.

The firm has created the FunPod to help kids to get involved in the kitchen in a safe manner. The product is a stand-alone child safety unit which elevates toddlers to worktop height.

While children are safely stood in the FunPod, parents can allow them to become actively involved in food preparation and talk to them about healthy eating.

"Between the ages of two and four, toddlers form their habits and opinions that form their later life so this is an essential time to get them involved," said the firm's director Kim Johnson.

The International Association for the Study of Obesity recently revealed that nearly a third of British children weigh more than they should.
