Understanding mums

We know families

No one can truly understand what it’s like to be a parent until they experience it themselves.

The elation, the fears, the tiredness, the continual changes, the new language you need to learn, the sheer volume of washing!

Nothing prepares you for just how much your life will change. And no one understands what you’re going through as much as someone who’s going through the same thing at the same time.

We know (because our mums tell us) that new mums turn to people who share their experiences, and that the friendships that blossom from pre and post antenatal groups are invaluable as a source of information and support.

We also know that starting a family prompts parents to re-evaluate the brands they use, and introduces them to a whole load of new product choices they never knew existed before.

We are always talking to our mums via ongoing research. Through our online Word of Mum™ panel, we enable mums to share experiences, build friendships, support each other and offer tried and tested advice on everything from winding techniques to nappy creams. We have over 37,000 mums on our panel, who give us feedback on both our service and the products we offer.

Because we listen to their opinions, we can learn how to tailor our involvement, and the advice and product samples we offer, to reflect the changing needs of their growing family.

You can read more about what mums say about Bounty with our What Mums Think results. The survey was commissioned in April 2014 by Bounty’s External Advisory Board and was conducted by independent research agency SSI. 1,000 new mums took part.
