How did you choose your babys name

Royalty, pop stars, or an old mate of your dad's? Bounty mums reveal the inspiration behind their babies' names. "Riley is after The Who song Baba O Riley. Sonny is after Richard Aschroft's eldest son. DH is a massive Verve fan." xxclairexx00 "Ellis Douglas – Ellis was a bloke my dad knows and I thought it was a very cool name for both baby and man, so as I wasn't allowed Jasper I chose Ellis ... Douglas was dh's brother who died when he was 19 and also dh dad's middle name. I don't particularly like it, but it's carrying on a family tradition and am happy to do that." iLoVeLaCeYaNdElLiS "DD1 is Courtney Louise, her 1st name I heart somewhere and loved it but after she was born there was baby Courtney in Eastenders so I was always asked if it was because of that!" sez128 "I gave the in-laws their nicknames from Star Wars. The MIL is 'The Wookie' (cos she's about as vicious as a Wookie) and FIL is 'Yoda' cos he really looks like him! They don't know about this of course." WurzelSpammage "dd1 wanted to call the twins Heidi and Oscar, names which are ok on their own, but together sounded like a pair of stormtroopers to me. So we settled for George and Mildred." goodvibes "I was going to name ds after my Grandad the moment I found out I was having a boy, I was so sure that people even referred to him as James in congrats cards – which was embarrassing, cos when he poosed out he didn't look like a James. He remained nameless for a while until dh plucked Rhys out of the sky..." linzmck "I went for Jack in the end as it is a strong name, cannot be shortened, cannot be misspelled, can suit any type of person whether 'travelller' or 'corporate lawyer,' and it's common enough so it appears in cheap gift shops on t-shirts/mugs/badges etc – lol, this was very important to me when I was a kid!"
