Congratulations to Amelia who has managed to hold onto her place at the top spot for the whole of the year, making her the most popular name given to girls in 2012!
Holly has made a very seasonal re-entry straight in at number two. Not seen in the top ten since last winter (February) the sudden rise in her popularity shows the Christmas spirit in full flow! Other re-entries for December are the vintage sounding Ruby and Lily.
Other climbers this month are Emily, up one spot to take sixth place and Ava, climbing three places to number five. However, Jessica beats all of the competition rising a massive six spots to take third place.
Those falling down the chart in December are Olivia, Sophie and Mia – with poor Poppy, Isla and Grace dropping out of the top ten completely.
