What's happening this month....

10 month baby

Your baby

Your baby is likely to be cruising the room holding onto furniture for support. They will start to respond to gestures like waving and can understand the word ‘no.’

Don’t worry if they start resisting new foods – you may have to offer something new over 10 times before they accept it.

You

Juggling the demands of life with a baby can be tricky, and it’s all too easy to let your relationship take a back seat. If you haven’t had much time for your partner lately, why not ask a friend to babysit so you can go out together?

Getting your baby to sleep throught the night will help you feel more relaxed and rested.  Read more for tips on sleep training.

What to think about

As your baby begins to eat more solid foods, you can gradually reduce the amount of milk they have, although they should still drink about a pint a day until the end of their first year.  We've got lots of advice on weaning for your 9-12 month old here.

As your baby becomes more talkative, resist the temptation to baby-talk back - if you use the right words it will help them get to grips with language more quickly.  Find out more about how talking develops here.

My 9 month old also crawls backwards but she is now trying to hold on to objects to stand. You need not worry beverly24 cus I believe babies do things in their own time.

my little man is still rolling around the room and he's 10months now but he's doing very well in his walker so he is very strong in his legs and i know his arms are strong too but still he will not crawl properly and he has not tried to do it apart from back wards worried he will be very slow but not too worried too much cause he's an only child the first is always a little slower right?
