Your baby
Many babies start crawling around the six month mark. But don’t worry if yours doesn’t ; some never do and some bottom shuffle – they all find their own way in time.
At six months you can give them their first taste of solid foods. Got a question about weaning? See our guides on how and when to start, or find expert answers to the most frequently asked questions about weaning.

You
Looking after a baby can be tiring, so however busy you are, don’t forget to make some time for yourself. If you’re happy, satisfied and well rested, you’ll be on top form to take care of your little one.
Thinking about returning to work? It probably feels like there are a million things to think about so ease yourself in gently with our back to work countdown.
What to think about
As a new parent it's natural to want reassurance that your baby is doing ok. Remember though, that all babies develop at their own pace - milestone charts are just guides, and often if a baby seems a little 'slow' in one area, it's because they are focusing on another skill.
