Is your baby getting enough breastmilk?

It's easy to worry when you can't see what's going in, but if your baby does these things, she's growing well:

  • Feeds frequently and well.
  • Suckles your breasts so that they feel softer after feeds.
  • Has a healthy colour and firm skin; it bounces right back if prodded (very gently).
  • Swallows while breastfeeding (you may only hear her if the room is quiet).
  • Has frequent yellow poo in her nappies.
  • Is gaining 4oz - 8oz per week.
  • Produces at least 6-8 wet cloth nappies or 5-6 disposable nappies in a 24-hour period!
