Check the rules
"Business casual" can be a bit of a grey area – does that include a floral dress the size of a tent with a blazer thrown on top? It could be worth checking what your employer says before you splash out on new work wear. And there’s nothing like a statement necklace to draw attention away from your “plus one” during the first 3 months.
Make sure you're comfortable
Though you’d rather be lying on the sofa in your joggers, you can still be smart and make comfortable fashion choices. However pretty, avoid fussy outfits that ride up, slide down or dig in and instead go for stretch fabrics and snag free fastenings.
Buy some breast pads
Though it’s unpredictable and happens to all of us, breast milk leakage in the middle of a presentation might not be your most professional moment. To avoid an awkward incident, pop a couple of breast pads into your bra and carry on pointing to your flip chart with confidence.
Do the mix and match thing
You may be eating for two but you don’t have to shop for two when it comes to business attire. Keep costs down by buying basic staples that you can mix and match. Use fab accessories such as scarves, bags and jewellery to give you that elegant edge when you strut around the office.
Swap your heels for flats
Chances are, the walk back and forth to the bathroom will become your new commute. Sorry ladies high heels are off limits. And forget paper-thin soled ballet pumps; though they’re cute, you need more support. Go for low or mid heeled shoes with a proper absorbent sole. And try adding Scholl Shock Absorbing Insoles to reduce the pressure on your feet.
