It’s a girl for Alanis Morissette! The American singer took to Twitter to announce that she has given birth to a baby girl, but she kept the news quiet for some time as the baby was born on June 23rd.
The 42-year-old revealed to fans that she and husband Mario 'Souleye' Treadway had chosen a unique baby name, Onyx solace Morissette-Treadway.
The couple already have a five-year-old son together, Ever Imre.
The singer first announced her pregnancy in February with an animated video and song for husband Mario, which ends with the couple and their son looking at ultrasound images of the baby.
In her Tweet to fans, she shared a beautiful early shot of her new daughter, and simply said: “She's here! Onyx Solace Morissette-Teadway June 23 2016.”
Only a week before, she posted a stunning image on Instagram of herself in a pool with her bump.
