Breastfeeding mum causes controversy on the internet

But what did she do?

When you gotta go, you gotta go – especially when you’re a mum and that pelvic floor isn’t quite as strong as it once was (don’t talk to me about star jumps).

And when you’re a breastfed baby or toddler you gotta eat when the urge takes you?

But what happens when the two things happen at once?

If you’re Elisha Wilson Beach you breastfeed your little one while you’re on the loo.

Nothing wrong with that – I’ll hold my hands up – I’ve done it too!

However, I didn’t take a photo and put it online.

Not that it’s not uncommon to see breastfeeding images on social networking sites – in fact ‘breastfeeding selfies’ are so common even celebs such as Gisele, Miranda Kerr and Pink have joined in the craze.

However, the image of Elisa, wife of Sons of Anarchy and Third Watch actor Michael Beach, has caused an uproar amongst some people with one calling her a ‘dirty cow, while others pointed out it was unhygienic and ‘disgusting’.

Supporters of the image however, related to the scenario agreeing that they too had experienced a moment like this.

And Elisha had her own response to the furore her picture had caused, writing on her Facebook page, ‘This is my picture and yes I am breastfeeding.

‘I shared it on Instagram knowing that some people would think it’s tmi but it’s reality. Everybody complains that social media is full of people pretending to live picture perfect lives and I see so many mothers doubting themselves based on those photos. Well this is reality and so many mothers are doing this exact thing right now.

Motherhood ain’t pretty but then that’s what makes it so beautiful.’

She’s got a good point…
