Religious group condemns c-sections

Says this way of giving birth is 'lazy'

Ahhh the C-section.

It’s a topic that’s always met with mixed views.

Scar of C-Section

However, there’s always someone that has to push their views too far.

And in this case it’s a religious community, which has set the cat amongst the pigeons with a series of insulting campaigns criticising mums for having c-sections instead of natural childbirths.

It’s even gone as far as claiming that women who had their babies through this method, 'didn't really give birth'.

The group, which goes by the name of the Disciples of the New Dawn, is led by Father Patrick Embry.

It used its Facebook page to post images and encourage its followers to shame 'lazy' and 'negligent' mothers who have chosen C-sections.

'Face the facts: You didn't really give birth. You caught a lucky break. Please show respect to superior women who actually had what it took to get the job done,’ was one of the posts picked up by the Daily Mail, while another  post claims women will be ‘cast into the lake of fire' if they undergo a C-section.

It also went as far as claiming that women shouldn't flaunt their stomachs after having c-sections because they didn't take care of themselves while they were pregnant

Of course the group has faced backlash from mums from every corner of the globe and we can see why! But what do you think?
