Babies can wait, says McCutcheon

Monday 06 September 2010

Singer and television personality Martine McCutcheon said she and her musician boyfriend Jack McManus will start a family of their own only after a few years, as they want to focus on their careers for some time.

However, if she has babies sooner, the former EastEnder star said she would be "over the moon".

In an interview to the Hello! Magazine, the 34-year-old said: "Jack and I definitely want a family of our own eventually.

"Jack would do it sooner than me if he had his way."

McCutcheon, who was not eager to reveal her relationship with McManus initially, said she was shocked to know that the singer was eight years younger than her.

However, the age gap doesn't worry her any more.

She said: "My mum's with someone 11 years younger than her and she said 'Look, sometimes you've just got to go with what's right in your heart and what's on paper often doesn't end up adding up anyway'."
