Parents are finding it increasingly difficult to play with their children, according to a survey.
Out of 2000 parents in the UK questioned for the poll commissioned by Disneyland Paris, 21% said that they do not know how to play with their offspring any more, with 30% saying that playing with their children is a boring task.
As many as 50% blamed their busy schedules at work and at home as prime reasons for not being able to be with their children as often as they would like.
Children have also picked up this trend, with 16% of 2000 children from the age group of five to 15 saying that playing with their parents is boring. However, more than half the children surveyed (55%) said that they want to spend more time with their mothers and fathers.
Though around 30% of parents still try to spend time with their kids by playing video games with them, 89% of children would prefer if their parents left them to play video games alone.
According to the poll, sibling rivalry causes 32% of parents to encounter problems while trying to play with their children, with more girls getting upset due to constant bickering ruining their playtime with parents compared to boys.
