Mums who want to look glamorous for a special night out over the festive period could find renting a dress a good option to cut costs and still impress.
According to Anna Bance, the founder of dress rental website Girl Meets Dress, the rapidly changing fashion world could make it difficult for items to remain stylish.
"What's in today is out tomorrow, so that expensive designer dress you bought will be quickly gathering dust on the shelf," she noted.
Ms Bance went on to say that should women turn to renting a dress, they will "always be wearing the right one" for any occasion.
Those who are searching for the perfect party dress for the Christmas period could be interested to learn that high street store Topshop - a favourite of celebs all over the world - is to launch a charity rental scheme in December, which will see the store hire out dresses which belonged to famous women including Kate Moss and Dita Von Teese.
