Online retailers 'more advanced in UK'

British online retailers are "much more advanced" than their US counterparts, which could interest mums and dads searching for a convenient way to get a new festive outfit.

According to Sarah Curran, the founder and chief executive of my-wardrobe.com, people have a certain expectation when they go online to shop and websites of UK retailers tend to be more advanced that US stores.

"I don't think you can ever sit still and say, 'my website's done'. You have to always be changing it," she went on to note.

Ordering clothes online and having them delivered to their door could prove ideal for busy parents wanting to look their best for the Christmas season who do not have time to head to the shops.

Figures from online retailer ASOS showed that the website enjoyed a total sales growth of 47 per cent this year, with the number of active customers on the site up by 1.2 million by the end of October.
