Men and women 'confused over romance'

There is confusion between men and women over romance, it has been claimed.

According to spokeswomen from Lindt and relationship guru Jenni Trent-Hughes, men are left bewildered by how to act around women - and don't want to cause offence or act inappropriately - but this approach leaves most females feeling that romance is well and truly dead.

However, ahead of Valentine's Day, she said that men should "find their manners" and act in a more gentlemanly way with their partners.

Research from the chocolate firm showed that UK men could be lacking in the romance department and some of the biggest bugbears of UK women could be familiar to new mums.

"What women complained about the most is technology; going out on a date and you sitting there and he is answering his phone, texting, reading emails, posting on Facebook," said Ms Trent-Hughes.

While romance may not be high on the priority list after having a baby, it is important to make time for a relationship - and Valentine's Day could be the perfect opportunity.
