Taking part in traditional egg hunts could be a great way for both parents and kids to have fun this easter.
According to MyChild.co.uk, having an easter egg hunt could also help to get children out and about in the great outdoors, as parents could prepare their own hunts in local woodland.
Editor of the website Amy Schofield said: "Bluebell woods are full of these gorgeous little springtime flowers around now so go for a stroll. It's absolutely free, gets the whole family outdoors and doesn't need any special equipment or organisation."
Recent findings from the British Heart Foundation showed that among families, taking part in exercise together is important - but that many see problems with members of the family enjoying different types of activity.
Being too busy and the inclement weather often seen in the UK were also noted as issues by families who do not take part in as much outdoor activity together as they might like to.
