Find below the top ten most popular list of baby boy and baby girl names so far in 2016. The results are gathered from the Bounty community, with the most researched and viewed names topping the lists. As well as the all-out most popular baby names, we also have tracked which baby names are climbing in popularity and which ones are dropping down the list, some more surprising than others.

It’s clear that baby names ending in a softer sound, usually a vowel still rule the roost with all 10 of the top 10 baby girl names ending with either an E or A. The top 10 baby boy names contain a nice mix of modern favorites and traditional classics. 

As well as the home nations having a big influence on popular names of the nation, (see Scottish baby names, Irish baby names & Celtic baby names), European style names are also unsurprisingly popular among the Bounty community. Top 10 most popular baby boy names of 2016 so far:

After landing the top spots in 2015, both Isla and Alfie remained the most popular and clear favorites so far this year. Interestingly Teddy made a big jump into number 3 from 7th. Classic’s such as Charlie and Harry also showed big increases in popularity on last year. Outside of the top 10, other notable jumps include: Ellie moving up from 18th to 9th. Mia and Sienna also both fell over 10 places. 

The biggest climber so far this year is Arlo, who previously was outside of the top 50, now cementing a top 10 position at number 6. Other names you may start to hear more include Freddie, Aaron, Phoebe, Ellis and Millie.
