Get the glow

Pregnancy glow

There’s no question you’re pregnant, so where’s that expectant glow you’ve heard so much about? Shouldn’t you be looking radiant right now?

We’ve all heard how pregnancy is supposed to be a one-stop beauty shop. It’s the one time in your life you can confidently flaunt your womanly curves and enjoy thick glossy hair, long, strong nails and luminous skin – isn’t it?

In reality, nausea, lack of sleep and skin changes can leave some women wondering if they will ever start blooming. If you feel like you’re doing all the growing without the glowing, here are a few tips to give you a helping hand...

Exercise can help

Exercise might be the last thing on your mind if you're suffering from pregnancy fatigue, but regular exercise can actually improve your energy levels and make you feel good about yourself.  And staying in shape could also make it easier to give birth when the time comes.  To find out more, check out our guide to safe exercise during pregnancy.

Eating well during pregnancy

When it comes to looking good you really are what you eat, so a healthy diet is vital.   See our guide to looking good from the inside out.

Getting enough sleep

i feel exactly the same, but have found that having a lucozade in the morning and again in the afternoon really helps with the tiredness and a good nights sleep ( if this is possible) as for the aching have a bubble bath with candles and just relax and read a book, i never read books before i was pregnant but now i have read quite a few as i find it really relax's me! as for the sickness eat little and often and stick to plain foods like toast. Hope this helps :-)
i had horrible sickness for about 4-6 weeks all day everyday. i found that eating little and often really helped and not to eat fatty foods like takeaways this made me feel worse. try sticking to a ham sandwich or some toast and stick to drinking water and not fruit juice's until the sickness has stopped.. also eat breakfast i know it seems impossible but it made a difference after a while! Hope this helps :-)
