Symptoms may include:
A burning pain when passing urine
The need to go more often
Abdominal or back pain
Chills or fever(sometimes)
Blood in urine (sometimes)
To prevent cystitis
Drink plenty of fluids, especially cranberry juice
Avoid alcohol and coffee
Empty your bladder whenever you need to and after you make love
Wear loose cotton underwear
Avoid vaginal deodorants
Always wipe away from your vaginal area after a bowel motion
Treatment Your doctor may prescribe an antibiotic, which is safe in pregnancy.
