Headstart is a not-for-profit organisation run by parents whose babies have been successfully treated for plagiocephaly by Dr Chris Blecher. We aim to raise awareness of plagiocephaly and brachycephaly, conditions which are being diagnosed in an increasing number of babies.
Plagiocephaly and brachycephaly can be treated using a non-invasive helmet which is worn for 23 hours a day, and treatment is most effective between the ages of four and 12 months, as the skull is still changing shape and growing quickly during that time.
