Carrie Johnson shares update on her first week with her and Boris’ third child

Carrie Johnson has shared the news that her third child with husband, Boris, was born on 5th July.

The wife of the former prime minister, took to her Instagram to share an update and sweet first images of the new arrival, named Frankie, with her 71.8k followers.

Carrie shared a picture of herself cradling Frankie in her bed as she looks down at her new son. 

The selection of photos also included the little one in his Moses basket and one of him lying on the bed, as well as older brother, Wilfred cuddling his new brother. 

The couple also share son Wilfred and daughter Romy and Boris has five other children.

Carrie introduced her new son, saying: “A week of Frankie. 

“Welcome to the world Frank Alfred Odysseus Johnson born 5th July at 9.15am.”

She joked with her followers: “(Can you guess which name my husband chose?!)”

She went on to describe how “smitten” she is with her new baby: “Am loving every minute of the sleepy baby bubble. 

"Seeing my older two embrace their new brother with such joy and excitement has been the most wonderful thing to see. We are all very smitten.”

She went on to thank the staff of the University College London Hospital. 

She wrote: “Thank you so much to the incredible NHS maternity team at UCLH. They really are the most amazing, caring people. I feel such immense gratitude.”

Carrie went on: “Now, can anyone recommend any good series/box sets to binge while breastfeeding?

“Time for a drink.”

Carrie has kept followers up to date with her pregnancy and shared a post back in May noting her exhaustion during the pregnancy.

In the post she shared a sweet snap of herself walking away from the camera holding Wilf and Romy’s hands as she walked.

She shared: “New team member arriving in just a few weeks. 

“I’ve felt pretty exhausted for much of the last 8 months but we can’t wait to meet this little one.” 

She shared her children’s expectations of the new arrival, she wrote: “Wilf is v excited about being a big brother again and has been chattering about it nonstop. 

"Don’t think Romy has a clue what’s coming…She soon will!”
