NHS-HealthyStart

Raising a family can be expensive, especially during pregnancy and the early years. NHS Healthy Start is available to help eligible families access healthy food, milk and vitamins for themselves and their children.

If you’re eligible, you’ll get a prepaid card that is topped up every four weeks. The money can be used to buy fruit, vegetables, pulses, milk and formula. You can also get free Healthy Start vitamins.

Support is available to eligible families living in England, Wales and Northern Ireland from pregnancy right through until their child’s fourth birthday.

You may be eligible if you’re more than 10 weeks pregnant or you have a child under four and get Universal Credit or Pension Credit with the child addition.

Applying is easy - the online application takes five minutes, and you’ll get an instant response.

It’s also worth knowing that anyone under 18 who is more than 10 weeks pregnant can apply, even if they do not receive benefits.

If this sounds like you, check if you’re eligible and apply today.
