The new year will see X Factor star Fleur East and Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack both welcome their first babies.
Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack was the first to announce she is expecting her first child in 2024 with her boyfriend Dr Alistair Gardner.
The star took to her Instagram just before the new year to tell her 1.9 million followers that she will welcome her first baby in 2024.
She shared a black and white photo of herself showing off her growing bump.
She told fans: “Hello Everyone, it’s been a little while but I’m back with some news. I’m delighted to share with you all that we’re having a baby!! I’ve never been so happy and utterly terrified at the same time.
“Please go easy on me. Every day is mixed with thrill, fear, joy, hysteria, topped off with a lot of vomiting - a bit like when you’ve just stepped off of the Oblivion at Alton Towers on a hangover.”
She continued: “I’ve got to know my body on such an insane level. It’s made me appreciate the one I’ve been given SO much, I’m doing my absolute best to make it a home for the little squid I’m growing.
“We can already sense the baby is reclined on a mattress of peanut butter and jam sandwiches in there, demanding more chocolate buttons.”
She ended the post: “I’m so happy to be writing all of this to you all. You’ve always stuck by me through the years, do stick around to watch me enter my mum era. Christ. Let’s go.”

X Factor finalist Fleur East soon followed on New Year’s Day with an announcement to her 819k followers that she was also going to become a mum for the first time in 2024 with husband Marcel Badiane-Robin.
She shared a photo of herself in a striking black jumpsuit with diamantes and a black satin blazer as she cradled her growing bump.
She simply captioned the post: “2024 is going to be different.”
Fans rushed to congratulate the singer.
