Musicals star Samantha Barks ‘bursting with happiness’ as she welcomes new arrival

Frozen and Les Misérables actress, Samantha Barks has announced she has given birth to her first child with husband Alex Stoll.
The musicals star took to her Instagram to share the news with a sweet black and white image to her 187k followers.
Samantha shared an image of her newborn’s hand holding hers.
In the post she also revealed the new arrival’s gender and name with her fans.
She wrote: “Welcome Rafael Richard Barks-Stoll, born on 16th October. My heart could burst with happiness.”
Celebrity friends rushed to the post to offer their congratulations, including TV star Amanda Holden who shared three heart eye emojis.
Fellow musicals star Lea Salonga wrote: “Congratulations, Sam, and welcome to the world, Rafael!”
Comedian Alan Carr took to the post to say: “Wow! Amazing!!! Congratulations my darling.”
Samantha and Alex tied the knot in June last year in Italy and the loved-up couple announced they were expecting a baby in August.
The singer and actress is famed for her portrayal of Elsa in the recent West End production of Frozen.
She shot to fame in 2008 when she took part in the BBC talent show I’d Do Anything and has since appeared in the 2012 film version of Les Misérables as well as starring as Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman: The Musical on Broadway in 2018.
