Double trouble: twins join the party
New beginnings after the drama.
Amber Heard just dropped some major Mother's Day news – she's a mum of three now! The actress announced the arrival of twins, a daughter named Agnes and a son named Ocean, in a heartfelt Instagram post. Heard, 39, said she's "elated beyond words" to celebrate the "completion" of her family.
Under a sweet snap of three pairs of tiny feet, she wrote, "Becoming a mother on my own terms despite the fertility rollercoaster has been the most humbling ride of my life." Heard welcomed her first child, daughter Oonagh, in 2021, and now says her family is finally complete.
The Aquaman star opened up about her journey to motherhood, calling it a choice made "responsibly and thoughtfully" and one that's filled her with "more joy than I could possibly burst with." She also took a moment to celebrate all mums, saying, "To all the moms out there, however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you."
Back when she welcomed Oonagh, Heard shared her hope to "normalize not needing a ring to have a crib." In her 2021 Instagram post, she wrote about how empowering it felt to make that choice and how it redefined her path as a woman.
While Heard is best known for her roles in films like The Rum Diary, Drive Angry, Zombieland, and Aquaman, her personal life has also made headlines. She was married to actor Johnny Depp from 2015 to 2016, and the former couple’s tumultuous relationship led to two highly publicized legal battles.
In 2020, Depp lost his libel case in the UK after a newspaper labeled him a "wife-beater" – a claim backed by Heard’s testimony. Then, in 2022, their explosive defamation trial in Virginia saw Depp sue Heard over a Washington Post op-ed where she described herself as a domestic abuse survivor without naming him. Depp was awarded $15 million in damages, while Heard received $2 million for a counterclaim.
Now, with three little ones keeping her busy, Heard seems ready to focus on family life. And with names like Agnes, Ocean, and Oonagh, it’s safe to say her hands (and her heart) are officially full!
