Joss introduces baby Nalima Rose to the world
Singer reflects on adoption journey and new arrivals.
Joss Stone has surprised fans once again, announcing the birth of her fourth child only seven months after welcoming her third.
The Devon-born singer, 38, shared the happy news on Instagram with a heartwarming photo of her newborn daughter nestled on her chest. "Happy #mummymondays," she wrote, before introducing her little one to the world: "Welcome our beautiful Nalima Rose. We are so in love."
Her husband, Cody DaLuz, also celebrated the moment by reposting the photo on his Instagram Story, adding simply: “And now there are four.”
Nalima’s arrival comes just months after Joss and Cody adopted their son Bear, making the new siblings what Joss lovingly refers to as “Irish twins” – a nickname for two children born less than a year apart. "They’ll be the same age for four months," she explained.
Joss and Cody’s growing family includes daughter Violet, born in 2021, son Shackleton, born in 2022, and Bear, who joined the family through adoption in late 2023.
Reflecting on their adoption journey, Joss has spoken openly about the ups and downs. “We had some adoptions fall through,” she shared. “There were moments we were chosen, but couldn’t make it in time. You start to feel like it’s not going to happen.”
But when the call finally came, it was everything they’d hoped for. “It’s just the most beautiful thing. He’s so sweet, and his birth mother is so sweet – it’s all love. Everyone is just full of love for this little guy.”
Joss revealed her unexpected pregnancy with Nalima last December, just weeks after Bear’s arrival. “Shocked was an understatement,” she admitted at the time. But joy quickly followed: “Nothing and no-one can take our joy now. We are so chuffed!”
Now, with four children under four, the singer’s house is surely full – of nappies, cuddles, and a whole lot of love.
